Aug. 25, 2026 — Voters reject State Question 844 (Oklahoma Voice)

Oklahoma voters resoundingly rejected State Question 844, which would have given the Legislature authority to pay local governments and school districts less than 100% reimbursement for property tax revenue lost to the state's five-year manufacturing tax exemption. Section 4: Annual Seminars

2026 OSEA Northeast Annual Seminar

October 29–30, 2026

Location: Northeastern State University – Broken Arrow, 3100 New Orleans Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74014

Up to 16 CE units available, in person or via Zoom.

Headliner speakers Marc J. Dombrowski, EA, and Jane Ryder, EA, CPA, will conduct 15 CE units. Dombrowski's sessions cover financial analysis, installment agreements, offers in compromise, appeals, CDP, and transcripts; Ryder's sessions cover ethics, NIL income, QBI maximization, stock options, and tax planning for businesses and rentals. IRS Stakeholder Liaison Mercean Lam will present on several IRS CE-eligible topics, and Mike Kaufmann will give a non-CE hour on Oklahoma tax updates. Lunch is provided both days for on-site attendees; the Zoom link is sent one week before the event.

Pricing: OSEA members $300, nonmembers $350. Early-bird pricing is currently in effect.

2026 OSEA Oklahoma City Annual Seminar

November 12–13, 2026

Location: 1720 Hudiburg Drive, Midwest City, OK 73110 (Rose State College)

Mellem, EA, and Mary Mellem, EA, will conduct 15 CE units covering federal tax updates, amended returns, an "Ask the Mellems" session, basis rules for property received via gift, inheritance, or divorce, business credits, teens and taxes, ethics, and bankruptcy. Mike Kaufmann will present a non-CE hour on Oklahoma tax updates, and IRS Stakeholder Liaison Mercean Lam will present a CE-eligible hour on multiple tax topics. Taxpayer Advocate Service availability is still TBD. Lunch is provided both days for on-site attendees; the Zoom link is sent one week before the event.
